SIX people have been arrested in Aberystwyth as part of a drug trafficking investigation by police.
Police have confirmed that officers were assisted by colleagues from the National Crime Agency and that a number of arrests were made.
Of the six arrested, two have been charged with conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine, three were released under investigation, and one remains in custody.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson said: “Dyfed-Powys Police, assisted by colleagues from the NCA, executed a series of searches and made a number of arrests connected to an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, in Aberystwyth this week.
Police also revealed that they had searched a storage unit at Ideal Storage, Glanyrafon Industrial Estate, yesterday (Tuesday), as part of their investigation - but have since confirmed no drugs were found.
